Practice Policies

Confidentiality & Data Protection

confidentialityWe ask you for personal information so that you can receive care and treatment. This information is recorded on computer, we are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998.

The Practice will ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times by all members of the practice team. However, for effective functioning of a multi-disciplinary team it is necessary that medical information about you is shared between members of the practice team.

Information may be passed to other NHS agencies for the purpose of assisting with diagnosis and treatment of care to our patients on a need to know principle. Full details of our confidentiality policy on request.


Violence Statement

The Practice has a policy whereby any person who is violent or abusive to Doctor or supporting team member will be removed from the Practice list.


Complaints & Suggestions

We are always ready to receive your suggestions, please feel free to discuss these with your Doctor, the senior receptionist or the Practice Manager. As far as complaints are concerned the Practice runs a Practice complaints procedure, a copy of which may be obtained from our receptionists. Alternatively you may wish to speak direct to the Practice Manager, this may be arranged through reception.
